We listen first. Then we help you move forward.

Whether you need a professional website, better customer follow-up, or a system built around the way your organisation works, Tokani begins by understanding the problem—not by selling you more technology than you need.

One journey. One Tokani.

Start where you are.
Grow when you're ready.

Redesigned Discount Flight Centre website01 · DFC

Discount Flight Centre

From a general travel site to a connected customer and trade platform.

DFC needed to show the value of a real Fiji travel team while giving each customer a more useful way to start online.

The direction

Inspired by modern service-led travel brands, but grounded in DFC's own identity: bold red, white and charcoal, strong destination imagery, authentic office photography and direct language.

What was redesigned

The carousel and generic content were replaced with clear pathways for flights, holidays, visas, existing bookings, corporate and group travel, and Air Niugini support.

What makes it useful

Customers send the right information once and continue with a Fiji-based consultant. Dedicated Suva, Nadi and Labasa content strengthens local search and trust.

Wider delivery

The work extended into SEO, social previews, media releases, campaign creative, enquiry journeys and a dedicated Air Niugini Fiji GSA service presence.

Air Niugini Fiji GSA communications

A coordinated trade communication system—not a one-off graphic.

The appointment of DFC as Air Niugini's General Sales Agent in Fiji created a new communications responsibility. We developed a recognisable newsletter system for travel agents and partners, connecting the GSA announcement, route information, local support and future trade updates.

  • DFC GSA Update: a focused Air Niugini Fiji trade edition
  • DFC Travel Connect: a broader recurring travel and partner newsletter format
  • MailerLite campaign setup, distribution and performance reporting
  • Consistent website, email and campaign messaging

Redesigned JAD Travel website02 · JAD

JAD International Travel Services

Turning history, specialist knowledge and real people into the brand.

The earlier site was clean but could have belonged to almost any travel agency. The redesign made JAD recognisably JAD.

The direction

Inspired by established professional-services firms: confident navy and blue, warm neutral space, editorial storytelling and restrained design rather than cheap-fare advertising.

Authenticity first

Generic airport imagery and artificial-looking artwork were replaced with JAD's official identity, real Suva office and team photography, and the story of the people behind the service.

A clearer position

The site now leads with corporate, group, visa and medical travel—areas where judgement, documentation, coordination and accountability matter.

Knowledge as proof

The JAD Travel Desk turns the team's experience into practical original guidance for Fiji organisations and group leaders, supporting both trust and search visibility.

Education technology case study

From one family's
question to a platform.

Tokani Careers began with a real problem at home, then grew into a Fiji-focused guidance platform and an institution-specific demonstration for FNU.

01

The reason it began

How does an Agriculture student find her way into Information Systems?

Tokani's founder was helping his daughter understand how she could move from studying Agriculture at Suva Muslim College to a Diploma in Information Systems at USP. The pathway was possible, but it was not clearly visible.

The family had to search across programme information, subject requirements and different institutional sources to work out what her next step could be. There was no single Fiji-focused online tool that connected a student's current subjects with realistic study and career pathways.

That family experience became the starting point for Tokani Careers: make the path clearer for the next student and parent.

Tokani Careers

Free career guidance designed around Fiji students.

Tokani Careers connects Forms 3–7 subjects and interests to careers, university and TVET pathways, entry information, costs and local context. It also gives parents and teachers a clearer way to support the conversation.

FNU Programme & Pathway Finder

Turning 212 prospectus pages into a guided student journey.

The FNU demonstration applies the same idea to one institution. It translates 245 school-leaver pathways across seven FNU colleges and centres into a simpler journey from school level and stream to relevant programmes, published entry conditions and possible careers.

It is designed as a planning and outreach tool—not an eligibility decision. Programme availability, admission conditions and all official advice must still be confirmed directly with Fiji National University.

Current status

Discussions with FNU's Outreach team are ongoing. This remains a Tokani demonstration and is not yet an official FNU platform. We hope to make this experience available to students as the engagement progresses.

What this work demonstrates

Human-centred discovery

Beginning with a real family problem rather than a technology trend.

Complex data transformation

Turning prospectuses and requirements into structured, searchable information.

Privacy-conscious design

Useful guidance without accounts, profiling or unnecessary personal data.

Institution-ready adaptation

Taking a community platform concept and applying it to a specific stakeholder's information and outreach needs.

How we work

Good technology should make the next step clearer.

We keep the process grounded, collaborative and easy to understand.

  1. 01

    Listen

We start with your business, your customers and the way things work today.

  2. 02

    Understand

We find the friction: enquiries, follow-ups, records, bookings or workflow.

  3. 03

    Recommend

We suggest the smallest solution that will genuinely make a difference.

  4. 04

    Build & grow

We implement, hand over clearly, and remain alongside you as needs evolve.

Tokani partnership symbol

Our story

Tokani means friend.

That is not just our name. It is how we want every relationship to feel.

Technology can do a lot for a business, but you should not have to become a technology expert just to make a good decision. We help you understand what makes sense now, explain it clearly, and build something useful—without the unnecessary complexity.

“Understand the problem. Keep the solution practical. Build something useful.”
