JAD Travel · Original build & strategic revamp

JAD Travel website: from original build to second-generation revamp.

Original website development and a second-generation revamp for JAD Travel, a long-established Suva travel agency serving corporate, group, medical and specialist travel customers.

Case study updated

JAD Travel website developed by Tokani

Current JAD website: the second-generation revamp builds on Tokani’s original custom website rather than replacing a third-party or inherited site.

Visual evidence

What changed beyond the interface.

The revamp uses JAD’s real people and physical presence to make the digital experience feel connected to the business customers actually deal with.

The challenge

A clear starting point.

The first build gave JAD a modern digital foundation, but launch also gave us a real product to assess. The next question was whether the website represented a long-established Fiji travel business as clearly as it could: corporate and group travel, medical-travel coordination, visa assistance, specialist consultants and the customer pathways that connect those services.

What Tokani built

  • Designed and developed the original JAD website as a custom React, TypeScript, Vite and Tailwind build rather than a template-based site.
  • Reviewed our own first version against the way JAD actually works, customer needs, regional competitors and stronger international travel websites.
  • Reduced generic travel-agency content and strengthened the information architecture around Fiji corporate travel, group travel, medical-travel coordination, visa assistance and specialist customer pathways.
  • Made real consultants and their areas of expertise more visible across relevant service pages so customers can see the people behind the service.
  • Refined responsive layouts, typography, enquiry journeys, page titles, descriptions, structured data and route-specific search metadata as the platform matured.
  • Kept the revamp iterative: improve what evidence justified, preserve what worked and avoid adding complexity simply because the technology allowed it.

Delivery outcome

Something useful to build on.

The result is not simply a redesigned travel website. It is a documented progression from first build to a more focused second-generation platform for a Suva travel agency, showing Tokani’s ability to launch, review its own work critically and improve a digital product as understanding of the business deepens.

Project status

This case study describes the design, development and revamp work delivered. It does not claim a measured increase in sales, enquiries or search rankings. JAD’s About section is still being refined, so this case study deliberately does not use that section as visual evidence.
